Track and Bridge Materials

Safe for the environment. Made in Africa, Italy, and the USA

Railmark is pleased to offer its NEW ECOtie®, a 315lb twr-rated concrete crosstie (sleeper) which is also waterproof, making this an ideal crosstie for any environment. The Company’s testing believes that this crosstie is at least 15% stronger than any other concrete crosstie (sleeper) in the world. This product will be launched towards the end of 2019 and will be first manufactured in Italy for the European railroad industry and then early in 2020 produced in western Africa for the new African rail market.

U.S. railroad industry wood track

The Company’s ECOtie2® crosstie offers the U.S. railroad industry wood track materials using a proprietary ECO-SAFE treating process. Our ECOtie2® is a solid wood railroad tie that is treated with a special borate-based solution and a special treating process that produces a wooden crosstie or bridge member which is moisture proof, water retardant, fire retardant, protects against weather, adds additional structural strength, does not leach, lasts longer, and is environmentally safe in every way. This is ECORail’s® “NEW” ECO-SAFE wood treating technology.

Longer Lasting

By lasting longer than today’s traditional creosote-treated products, Railmark’s ECORail® line of treated wood products positively affects the demand on virgin lumber while decreasing future crosstie and utility pole replacement costs. Railmark’s ECORail® products with its revolutionary wood treatment process provides our products to our clients in a fraction of the time that our competitors need to deliver. Where the typical wood treatment process for crossties can take up to 8 months or longer, we are able to treat our products in as quickly as a few days. By being able to deliver our products quickly, our clients will never have to worry about project delays caused by backordered material. Our proprietary process treats the wood green. The moisture in the wood draws in our sealant and is replaced, resulting in a much deeper penetration and longer life.

Environmentally Safe

Company testing found that these ties will last longer than today’s conventionally- treated ties. This makes them safe for the environment in two ways: (1.) its treatment process technology and (2.) the decreased demand on our virgin timber resources due to their ability to last longer than a conventionally treated tie. Our treating process does not call for the long term drying of the tie and the use of heavy pressure, thus retaining the natural structural integrity of the wood tie.

All Standard Sizes

Our ECOtie2® railroad track products come in all standard crosstie sizes using the approved hardwood types. All wood bridge members are available with this technology.

ECOtie2® Steel Tie and Double Treating Variations

Our ECOtie2® products are first treated with our standard ECO-SAFE treating technology and then sealed again using our ECOseal® technology. This creates a crosstie with remarkable structural strength and is resistant to corrosion, rust, abrasion, heat, water and fire and is ideal for use in wet and other challenging track conditions. Railmark offers ECOtie2® crossties with or without pre-applied fastener plates. Railroad track construction using an ECOtie2® along with any one of the modern fastener systems will produce a long-lasting crosstie that is almost maintenance free.

ECOpole®

ECORail® offers a complete line of Class 1 through Class 7 treated wood distribution poles up to 65 feet in length.

Environmentally Safe

ECOpole® is a solid wood utility pole that is treated with a special borate-based solution and a special process that is moisture proof, water retardant, fire retardant, protects against weather, adds additional structural strength, does not leach, lasts longer and is environmentally safe in every way.

Our ECOpole® product line provides utilities with a stronger wood pole that is environmentally safe and stronger.

Professional Installation

Railmark not only sells ECORail® products, we can install as well. Railmark Track Works is an experienced track construction and maintenance service provider that will construct or rebuild your track with our ECOtie® or ECOtie2® crossties or bridge members. Our ECOseal® applications are performed on new materials prior to shipping or we can send applications onsite to seal in place rail facilities.
